Mykhaylo Fomenko

Mykhaylo Fomenko (; born 19 September 1948) is current head coach of Ukraine's national football team〔(Ukraine's football federation taps Fomenko to coach national team ), Kyiv Post (26 December 2012)〕 and a former Ukrainian footballer who was capped 24 times for the USSR.〔 He was famous for his coaching in Dynamo Kyiv, winning its first Ukrainian gold medals, first Ukrainian Cup and most notably, beating Barcelona in the very first leg of the Champions League tournament. Barcelona, under Johan Cruijff and with players like Ronald Koman, Josep Guardiola, ended up to be finalist of that UEFA Champions League season.
